MUMBAI: Slapped with a two-match ban by the International Cricket Council due to her boorish behaviour in the third ODI against Bangladesh on July 22, Indian women’s team captain Harmanpreet Kaur is set to return to the field on August 1 when she turns out for the Trent Rockets in The Hundred competition in England.

Harmanpreet will be in action on day one of the event when she turns out for Trent Rockets against Southern Brave, at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. In an Instagram video post on Saturday, the India skipper said: “Hi guys, this is Harmanpreet Kaur. Just arrived in Trent Bridge. We’ve a game on the 1st. Come and watch us. Thank you.”

Apart from her, three other top players of the Indian women’s team – vice-captain Smriti Mandhana, Jemima h Rodrigues and Richa Ghosh will play in The Hundred.
Harmanpreet’s suspension applies to international games, which means that she won’t be available for the first two games (quarterfinal & semifinal) of the Asian Games in China. She has played in The Hundred for Manchester Originals in the past.
