Free agent WR Odell Beckham Jr is ‘now in talks’ with several NFL teams after Arizona workout

Free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr has now entered talks with ‘several teams’ around the NFL, following his workout in front of scouts and coaches last week in Arizona. 

‘Sources say there have been no negotiations yet and OBJ has made no financial demands,’ added Tom Pelissero, of the NFL Network, on Sunday via Twitter. ‘Expect things to ramp up soon.’ 

The NFL’s 2014 Offensive Rookie of the Year was reportedly looking for a deal in the range of $20million per season, Pro Football Talk reported Sunday. 

Beckham Jr., 30, proudly displayed his one-handed catching abilities during Friday’s workout, reminding football fans of his legendary catch against the Dallas Cowboys while still playing on the New York Giants in 2014. To many, the one-handed snatch is considered as arguably one of the best in NFL history. 

According to reports the Carolina Panthers, New York Jets, New England Patriots, Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings all were in attendance at the workout on Friday.

Odell Beckham Jr. garnered interest from a lot of teams since his post-Super Bowl workout

The Giants, Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Rams – all of Beckham Jr.’s former teams – were also in Arizona to evaluate the player’s recovery from a torn ACL injury, which forced him to sit out for the entirety of the 2022 season without being on a team. 

Beckham Jr. tore his left ACL during the Los Angeles Rams’ Super Bowl LVI win over the Cincinnati Bengals on February 13, 2022. During the first half of that game, the wide receiver had three catches, 52 yards and a touchdown before the injury.

Beckham Jr. was linked at various times throughout last season with the Cowboys, Giants and Buffalo Bills but remained unsigned.

A three-time Pro Bowl selection, the Louisiana native has 531 catches for 7,367 yards and 56 touchdowns in 96 career games (91 starts) with the Giants (2014-18), Browns (2019-21) and Rams.

He exceeded 1,000 receiving yards in five of his first six seasons before injuries started taking a toll on his career.

Jets star cornerback Ahmad ‘Sauce’ Gardner recently admitted to trying to recruit Beckham to return to New York but this time with Gang Green after posting a screenshot from a facetime call with Beckham.

Along with posting a picture of his FaceTime call with Beckham, Gardner later quoted the tweet by saying: ‘Being the #1 recruiter in America is stressful. With that being said, I need yall to join my Subathon livestream right now & gift some subs,’ along with a laughing emoji and the link to subscribe to his twitch.

During the stream on Thursday night , Gardner also teased Jets fans saying ‘it’s package deals all over’ if Rodgers arrives: ‘I can’t tell y’all who, but just know.’
