Hina will soon be seen in a de-glam avatar as she steps into the shoes of a police officer for a web show. She shares, “It’s a very intense character, which I enjoyed playing on screen. After playing the part, I realised that police officers are not just serious all the time. They have their personal lives and other aspects to their personality… they can be humorous and they love cinema… unhe filmein dekhna bahut achcha lagta hai, aisi kayi cheezein hai, which I understood. So, I got to discover a lot. It is something very different from what I have done so far.” Hina is also game to explore negative characters on screen and would love to play an antagonist. She says, “I don’t mind playing a gangster either (laughs).” With a glam image associated with her, will storytellers approach her for such a part? “Why not? How do you know people haven’t already (laughs)?”
While she’s enjoying her stint in the digital space, ask her if she misses the kind of popularity fiction shows gave her and whether she would consider coming back to it, she says, “See, TV will always be my first love. But to be honest, I don’t think I will return to a fiction show right now. But as they say, never say never.”
When it comes to her personal life, Hina has been dating Rocky Jaiswal for many years. Is it time to take the big leap? “I had recently put up a post on social media for which I already got so much love. It said, ‘Why don’t you go (travel) to good four different destinations (with your partner) than feeding 600 people at a wedding? (laughs). But then I will conclude saying, you never know!”
