Elon Musk thinks here’s why Jeff Bezos retired as Amazon CEO – Times of India

Tesla CEO has once again taken a massive dig at the world’s richest man. Musk has his own space exploration company, SpaceX whereas Amazon co-founder Jeff Bezos heads Blue Origin. Both the companies often find in competition with each other over US government contracts. Recently, Blue Origin sued NASA as it lost a contract to Musk’s SpaceX. And now Blue Origin has complained about it with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regarding Starlink — SpaceX’s satellite internet deployment plan.

Musk in a tweet which linked the complaint said that “Turns out Besos [sic] retired in order to pursue a full-time job filing lawsuits against SpaceX …” This isn’t the first time Musk has taken a dig. In fact, a couple of years he also called Bezos a “copycat.” The most recent tweet comes after Amazon is unhappy about Starlink’s satellite internet future plans.
Amazon has asked the FCC to deny SpaceX the opportunity to develop second-generation Starlink network. Amazon has alleged that SpaceX would be breaking the regulator’s rules on this. Amazon ahas plans to develop its own satellite internet system. Called Project Kuiper, the system is yet to officially take off. On the other hand, Starlink has 1,700 satellites in orbit and is serving 100,000 users across the globe.
According to a report by PCMag, SpaceX wants to improve download speeds and is seeking clearance from FCC for its second-generation Starlink network. Amazon has alleged that the plan is too speculative in nature and breaks FCC’s rules.
It’s not a legal complaint that Amazon has filed but more like a letter of protest. So Musk’s tweet is a dig at Bezos more than anything else.
