Deepika Padukone pulls Ranveer Singh’s leg, says his golden outfit ‘matches with mic’

Actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh recently when to UAE for the screening of their upcoming film 83. During one of the events, Ranveer wore a golden attire and his wife Deepika Padukone made a funny remark on it.

At the event, Ranveer chose a glitzy golden ensemble. He wore a metallic gold high neck tee and paired it with yellow trousers. In a clip that is doing rounds on the internet, Deepika can be seen telling Ranveer, “Hey this mic is matching your outfit.”

Ranveer and Deepika’s 83 will release on December 23. Ahead of the film’s grand premiere, the trailer of 83 was screened at Dubai’s Burj Khalifa. As the trailer played on the building, Ranveer watched it with 83 director Kabir Khan, his wife Mini Mathur, Deepika and Kapil Dev.

Several videos of Ranveer and Deepika joining Kapil, Kabir and others have surfaced online. In the clips, the team can be spotted watching the trailer play on the world’s tallest building. In a video shared by a fan account, Deepika and Ranveer were seen holding on to each other while their eyes were glued to the trailer. 

Before that, the team was seen at the special screening of 83, which was at the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah. In the film, Ranveer plays the role of Kapil Dev and Deepika Padukone plays the character of Kapil’s wife Romi Bhatia. 83 revolves around the events that transpired at the 1983 World Cup tournament. India, who were considered as the underdogs of the tournament, went on to win the cup, making history.

Speaking at an event earlier this week, as reported by ANI, Kapil shared his reaction to the trailer. “After watching the trailer I am very emotional, but let’s wait for December 24 to see the end product. I can’t say anything till it is released.”

Speaking about Ranveer, Kapil added, “Ranveer is a great actor. I don’t think he needs any inputs or any help. He just spent time with me and rest he is smart enough.”
