Curtain will come down on second edition of Khelo India University Games in Bengaluru; Union Minister Amit Shah to be Chief Guest

The curtain will come down on second edition of Khelo India University Games in Bengaluru this evening. Union Minister for Home Affairs and Cooperation Amit Shah will be the Chief Guest at the glittering closing ceremony of the Games. Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and Union Ministers Prahlad Joshi and Anurag Thakur will be among the dignitaries present on the occasion. The closing ceremony will begin in the evening with cultural programmes. Yogasana will be performed by 500 students showcasing the theme of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The ceremony will conclude with a Sound, Light and laser show with fireworks.
During the ceremony, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Youth Affairs and Sports, Anurag Thakur will be releasing a video montage of Evolution of University Games in India. Karnataka Chief Minister will release a Postal Cover on the Games. Home Minister Amit Shah will be releasing a Coffee Table book on Khelo India University Games 2021. A recap video of Khelo India University Games in Bengaluru will be relayed. There will also be a presentation of trophies for the best athletes and teams.
During the glittering closing ceremony, a victory lap of winning University players will be organized followed by celebration music. During the 10-day event, around 4000 athletes from 208 Universities across the country participated in 20 different disciplines. There were 8000 delegates present during the Games.
