Complaint against ULLU app over clash of film title ‘The Last Show’ – Times of India

On receiving a complaint from its member IMPPA has written to Vibhu Agarwal Director of ULLU channel to change the title of their show ‘The Last Show’. Anil Nagrath, Secretary of the association said, “We received a complaint from Anupam Kher’s Actor Prepares who is making a film titled ‘The Last Show’, which is registered with the association and Ullu has put out a show with the same title. So we have asked them to change the title as it is unethical to do so. We in the film industry work on a mutual understanding and self-discipline which all our members follow.”

As for the title registration, there is a procedure we follow and if a producer has the title with him no other producer can use it without a NOC.

Since Vibhu Agarwal’s app has titled their show the same as Anupam Kher’s film, the producers association has written to ULLU to withdraw their title and change it. But sources have revealed that officials from the app have resisted and are refusing to make changes. Nagrath said, “There is a decorum to be followed in the association. If a member does not follow self-discipline, we can declare a case of non-cooperation against them and no one from the film industry will cooperate with him further. And there is a chance that Vibhu Agarwal’s membership registration can be cancelled.”
