Benson Henderson took on Brent Primus at Bellator 268.
At Bellator 268, Brent Primus and Benson Henderson faced off in a fight that could have ramifications for the lightweight title scene with Primus winning the fight by unanimous decision. The first round saw both men exchange some nice shots and worked in some good grappling but Henderson started slowly as usual. In the second round, Henderson open up with a lot of strikes but ended with Primus on his back. The third round had Henderson rock Primus but Primus recovered and road Henderson for the rest of the fight.
Next in line for Bellator gold?
Both fighters made it clear they thought their fight at Bellator 268 should’ve been for the recently vacated Bellator lightweight championship, but it was instead given to the Patricky Freire and Peter Queally fight on Nov. 5, in Ireland. Primus may very well be next in line for the title, and as a former Bellator lightweight champion himself, could be a nice matchup.
Bellator 268 took place on, Oct. 15, live from the Footprint Center in Phoenix, AZ. Follow along with FanSided for all your news and highlights.
