The Toronto Blue Jays have added outfielder Bradley Zimmer and pitcher Casey Lawrence to the major league roster, the club announced Thursday.

The moves come as MLB rosters expand from 26 to 28 players for the final stretch of the regular season and the post-season.
The Blue Jays claimed Zimmer off waivers from the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday, marking a return for his second stint in Toronto Blue Jays after he was designated for assignment in order to make room for George Springer to come off the injured list.
Philadelphia claimed the outfielder off waivers on Aug. 18 and he appeared in nine games.
The 29-year-old is slashing .130/.216/.250 through 86 games this season with the Blue Jays and Phillies.
Lawrence, also 29, has pitched 15.2 innings for the Blue Jays this season, recording an 8.04 ERA and a 1.468 WHIP.
With triple-A Buffalo, Lawrence has a 9-4 record, a 2.76 ERA and a 0.910 WHIP in 111 innings.
The Blue Jays are off on Thursday, and return to action with a three-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates beginning Friday.
