Kharitonov has competed in high-level MMA, kickboxing, as well as professional boxing throughout his 21-year fighting career. The Russian holds a 2-0 professional boxing record, having fought twice over the past two years.

Kharitonov holds a 32-8 MMA record, and is 8-1-2 across multiple promotions since 2017, with his most prominent wins coming between Bellator and M-1 Global.

Kharitonov comes in as the slight betting favorite in the main event of Bellator 265, with the Russian lined at sportsbooks such as Wynnbet at odds of -125.

The biggest favorite on the Bellator 265 card is Sanford MMA product Logan Storley (11-1), who comes in as the -3000 favorite against Dante Schiro.

The co-main event for Bellator 265 was to feature Jay Jay Wilson taking on Adam Borics, but was scrapped from the event due to Wilson missing weight.
