Additionally, the victory on Tuesday is India’s first ever in team dressage.

The team comprising Divyakriti Singh astride Adrenalin Firfod, Hriday Vipul Chhed (Chemxpro Emerald) and Anush Agarwalla (Etro) aggregated 209.205 percentage points on way to the top podium finish.

Sudipti Hajela was also part of the team, but only the top three scores were counted in the event.

China were second with 204.882 percentage points, while Hong Kong finished with a bronze with 204.852 points.

Raghubir Singh had finished on top of the podium in the individual eventing category in the 1982 Games that were held in New Delhi.

Raghubir would then go on to win team dressage bronze with Jitendarjit Singh Ahluwalia and Ghulam Mohammed Khan in the 1986 Games in Seoul.

India had won two gold medals on Monday, in men’s 10m air rifle team and women’s cricket respectively, and the Equestrian victory takes their medal tally to 12, which puts them at the sixth spot on the medal table.
