Everton have announced the signing of former Aston Villa and Manchester United utility man Ashley Young on a one-year deal.
The 38-year-old becomes Sean Dyche’s first at Goodison Park after successfully fighting off competition for his signature from newly-promoted Luton Town.
The England international started 23 games for Villa in the league last season as Unai Emery’s side finished seventh and secured a place in the UEFA Conference League.
His second spell in the Midlands came to an end last month upon the expiration of his contract at Villa Park.
Young, who has been capped 39 times for England, is a two-time league winner having won the Serie A title with Inter Milan in 2021 eight years after lifting the Premier League with Man United.
