Are makers of Ramayan replacing Alia Bhatt with Sai Pallavi opposite Ranbir Kapoor? Here’s what we know… | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Earlier, reports of Alia Bhatt walking out of Nitesh Tiwari‘s Ramayan surfaced on the internet. Rumour mills are now abuzz with speculations that the actress is being replaced by Sai Pallavi.
Makers of ‘Ramayan’ have roped in Sai Pallavi to play the role of Sita in the film after Alia quit the film citing date issues. The actress will be starring opposite Ranbir Kapoorin the movie, the report in India Today stated. However, there has been no official confirmation or announcement regarding the same as yet.

It was reported that Alia exited the project owing to date-related issues. Ranbir, on the other hand, is still part of the film. Apart from them, ‘KGF’ star Yash has also been giving several look tests for Raavan. However, the actor is yet to sign the dotted lines.

Ramayan was reportedly slated to go on floors in December this year. However, there seems to be a shift in timeline. The report stated that the three-part film is still in the pre-production stage and might not complete prep by December.

During one of the promotional interviews of ‘Bawaal’, Nitesh Tiwari was asked if they are being extra cautious about the film after the backlash that Om Raut’s ‘Adipurush’ received. Nitesh had said that they don’t feel the need to be extra cautious as he is confident that he won’t make content that would hurt the sentiments of the audience. ‘Adipurush’ starred Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles.

To be directed by Nitesh Tiwari and Ravi Udhyawar, ‘Ramayan’ is expected to go on floors in mid-2024.
