But it seems the recent endorsement by Mahesh Babu, where the actor is endorsing a tobacco product has not gone down well with his fans.

Many are surprised and are questioning Mahesh through their social media handles on how he agreed to endorse a tobacco product as the actor neither smokes nor has any bad habits. Moreover, many family audiences refer to him as their inspiration. Thus, Mahesh Babu endorsing dangerous tobacco and alcohol products in recent times is a topic of debate among his fans on social media.

The commercial where Mahesh Babu along with Tiger Shroff endorsing a tobacco brand is landing him in a fresh controversy now. The high-budget ad featuring Mahesh encouraging his fans to consume dangerous cancer-causing tobacco has been the topic of discussion on Twitter. Few of his fans are making comments saying that when celebs are paid a monstrous amount they endorse any product no matter if it is bad to its fans & the general public giving importance to only money sidelining their social responsibility.

While some are comparing him to Pierce Brosnan, the one who stepped out of the ad immediately knowing it causes cancer. If Mahesh too really cares for his fans and if he is really a socially responsible person he should stop endorsing the product immediately.

Earlier, Pierce Brosnan too endorsed a similar product which was not appreciated by his fans. Brosnan immediately responded that he was unaware that the company is promoting tobacco with his ad, he reiterated that he only acted in it as it was told to him as a ‘mouth freshener’. Later the James Bond actor has reportedly expressed severe anger against the company for misleading him and sued the company and distanced himself from the ad.
