Anees Bazmee reveals the reason why he turned down Hera Pheri 3; says, ‘Firoz Nadiadwala didn’t have much of a story’ – Times of India

Hera Pheri 3 has been the talk of the town. The film that was initially said to be helmed by Anees Bazmee, suddenly announced the promo shoot with Farhad Samji taking the director’s chair and Akshay Kumar who was said to be out of the sequel joining the cast for the shoot. Moreover, Kartik Aaryan was nowhere to be seen.
This set several tongues wagging. Anees Bazmee revealed to Bollywood Hungama that he had multiple rounds of discussions with producer Firoz Nadiadwala, but he didn’t have much of a story, let alone a script. He further said that he did not quite like the idea that the producer shared, so he turned the offer down.

Anees is clueless how Akshay who was totally opposed to doing the film without a proper script agreed to come on board. “I don’t know how or why. Only he will be able to tell,” he said reiterating that he is not a part of that project anymore.
After two successful instalments of the Hera Pheri series, producer Firoz Nadiadwala has now gone straight to Hera Pheri Part 4. Speaking to ETimes, a source close to the project had revealed, “That’s the fun part of the series. We’ll be telling the audience that the characters have been up to unmentionable mischief in part three. We couldn’t show the audiences what we were up to in part three, so we go straight to part four.”
