Amrita Rao recalls how she lost out on working with Hrithik Roshan and Salman Khan for no fault of her own | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

In order to succeed in the movie business, one needs to be consistent with their choice of projects. Amrita Rao, who turns a year older today, was doing exactly that, but then destiny had different plans for her. She had a string of successful films like Main Hoon Na, Masti and Vivah but suddenly one day it all just disappeared. She was last seen in Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Thackeray.
Also not many are aware that she was in talks with Rakesh Roshan to be a part of Krrish opposite Hrithik Roshan, they in fact, even went ahead with a photoshoot. However, talks broke down as the makers felt there was no chemistry as Amrita looked much younger than Hrithik and the film finally went to Priyanka Chopra. But thankfully, she is still on good terms with the Roshans and they really like her.
Another film that Amrita could have been part of was Salman Khan’s Wanted, but her manager sabotaged the opportunity. Talking about it, she mentioned that when she was shooting for a Telugu film with Mahesh Babu, she bumped into a production guy who used to work closely with Boney Kapoor ( Producer of Wanted) and he told her that if her dates weren’t clashing, she would be working with Salman Khan. By this time, she never even knew that she was offered Wanted as her manager had told Boney Kapoor’s office that her dates were impossible to match without informing her. Had she known about this, she would have definitely worked things around.
