Ajit Mohan to lead Snap’s efforts in Asia-Pacific markets: CEO Evan Spiegel in staff memo

Ajit Mohan, the newly-appointed Asia Pacific president of Snap Inc, will lead the company’s cross-functional efforts across India, Australia & New Zealand, China, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and South Korea, founder and CEO Evan Spiegel, wrote in an internal memo on Thursday.

Mohan will join Snap in February. ET has reviewed a copy of the communication sent to Snap employees.

“Ajit will provide in-market leadership, lead cross-functional efforts across the region, oversee all local operations, and lead our go-to-market strategy. He’s a talented and well respected executive with a breadth of experience that will serve our community and partners in wonderful ways!,” Spiegel wrote, adding that Mohan will be a member of Snap’s executive team and report to chief operating officer Jerry Hunter.

In line with the company’s structure in Americas and EMEA markets, the regional APAC sales team will report to Mohan.
