Adipurush: Manoj Muntashir issues unconditional apology for hurting emotions

Manoj Muntashir, the writer of Adipurush, has issued an “unconditional” apology to those who may have been offended by the controversial dialogues in the movie, acknowledging that their religious sentiments had been inadvertently hurt.

“I accept people’s emotions have been hurt by Adipurush. With folded hands, I extend my unconditional apologies. May Prabhu Bajrang Bali keep us united and grant us strength to serve our sacred Sanatan and our great nation,” Manoj tweeted on July 8.

His post evoked mixed reactions from netizens as many feel that it is now too late to seek an apology.

“You should have apologised on the first day itself. But, you were lecturing the world in interviews that you had made this masterpiece,” said one Twitter user.

“You are too late to apologise,” a social media user commented.

“Badi jaldi Maafi maang liye sahab But thik hai, Der aaye durust aaye,” another one wrote.

“Too late. When the film flopped, cinemas started getting down from the house, when there was nothing left to lose, when the anger of the public itself cooled down, then you are apologising. This should have been done within a few days of the release of the film. But, you were busy counting the collections and rubbing salt in the wound by defending the film. Now, the film’s earnings have stopped completely, so you are apologszing. Anyway, better late than never,” wrote another.

While one user said that such people never improve themselves and it’s just a drama, another said that Manoj Muntashir had apparently lost government projects and Sony TV and T-Series assignment. Maybe that’s why he has issued the apology now, the user added.

“This man is pretending to apologize because now he has been removed from the post of judge in Sony TV show India’s Got Talent,” wrote another.
