Adah Sharma opens up about ‘The Kerala Story’ completing 50 days in the theatres; assures it will come on OTT soon | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Adah Sharma, who is currently basking on the super success of her last film, ‘The Kerala Story‘, recently opened up about the film completing 50 days in theatres and its release on OTT.
In an interview with a news portal, Adah said that the film completing 50 days in the theatres is a cause for huge celebration not only for the cast and the makers but also for the entire industry. She also assured that it will soon be released on OTT.

Earlier, director Sudipto Sen had told a news portal that the unprecedented box office success of the film has “irked many” in the film industry that has “ganged up to punish” them by delaying its OTT release. Sharing her thoughts on the same, Adah said that a film doing well at the box office is good for everyone. According to her, it is a blessing for theatre owners because it is bringing revenue to the industry, and so many more films get made with all the profits that come in. The actress added that she recently visited Karnataka and shows are going house full there.

Reports are rife that owing to the film’s controversies and accusations of political propaganda, the streaming platforms are ‘somewhat hesitant to acquire rights’. Rubbishing all such rumours Adah clarified that it was only initially that they faced flak but after people watched it, and it did such good business, she has only been hearing good things about the film. According to her, there are testimonials from the girls on whom the film is based.
She also went on to add that one thing that this film has taught them is that you cannot generalise. You can’t deny something just because it has not happened to you.
