Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers got heated with Matt LaFleur as he appeared to yell at the Green Bay head coach during their overtime win against the Dallas Cowboys Sunday.

Rodgers eventually led a 55-yard drive in overtime to set up Mason Crosby´s game-winning field goal to see the Packers stun the Cowboys in a 31-28 win and snap their five-game losing streak.

However, it had been a tense contest for Green Bay and Rodgers had thrown an incomplete pass on third down in the closing moments of regulation.

The reigning MVP tossed the ball away to stop the clock and failed to get a first down to continue the drive to try to break the 28-28 tie late in the fourth quarter.

He could then be seen expressing his frustrations with LaFleur as cameras caught him shouting at the head coach while he made his way towards the sideline.

When asked postgame what he had been so upset about, Rodgers responded: ‘Just every single play call, probably.

‘I feel like we were like 30 yards from the end of the game in regulation and also felt like it was two minutes so I was going to be calling those,

‘I was in a pretty good rhythm, obviously didn’t have a ton of attempts tonight, but felt like I was in a pretty good rhythm. I felt like I threw the ball just about exactly where I wanted to tonight. And so I wanted a chance to win the game.’

Following the win, LaFleur admitted his indecision had played a role in the Packers’ frustrations.

‘Indecision came into my mind, probably, way too much,’ he said postgame of that critical failed series that forced the Packers to punt.

‘A lot of time when we get in those situations, we give Aaron a ton of freedom to run the show. And typically, he does such a great job with it.’

However, despite the gaffe, the Packers went on to clinch their first win in six games thanks to Rodgers’ three touchdown throws and clutch drive.

Green Bay (4-6) appeared well on its way to losing six straight games in the same season for the first time since 1988, trailing 28-14 in the fourth quarter before Rodgers led two long drives that ended with scoring passes to Christian Watson.

Despite his frustration at his current coach, Rodgers had a lot of praise for his former boss Mike McCarthy.

This was the first time Rodgers and McCarthy had faced each other since the coach was fired after the 2018 season when the Packers finished 6-9-1 and missed the playoffs for the second straight season and the two shared a hug with one another prior to the game.

‘You can’t write the story of my career without Mike McCarthy,’ Rodgers said after the game.

‘I have so much gratitude for the role he played in my life. I’m so thankful to have his friendship. And to be able to be on the other side of this and to still have so much love and respect for one another.’
