A Snoop Dogg Performance, Rollerskating, Food Trucks: Inside The Chanel Cruise After-Party

At the Chanel 2024 Cruise after-party at Paramount Studios, actress Whitney Peak lounged on a black sofa that had been her front-row seat moments before. Amid the transformed runway, now a concert venue and roller rink, she eagerly awaited the rumored performance. “I saw Snoop Dogg walk in, and I’m excited to see if he’s performing,” she said. Model SooJoo Park shared her excitement, “I got the inside scoop on who’s performing, and I’m a fan.” The iconic Paramount Water Tower and a colossal movie screen provided a grand backdrop for the event.

As the festivities commenced, some guests stayed rinkside, while most ventured into the adjacent courtyard, which was filled with an array of food trucks offering cuisines ranging from gyros, burgers, and pizza to a special silver Airstream providing drinks. Models who had walked in the show strolled around in their off-duty clothes, drinks in hand, many with their big ’80s-inspired hair from the runway show still intact. Notable names such as Margot Robbie, Kristen Stewart, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Lil Nas X were among the attendees.

The night reached a crescendo when Nile Rogers took the stage and teased the special performance, exclaiming, “There is something very special that’s about to happen.” At the same time, the enormous screen behind him displayed life-sized fireworks. The crowd’s hopes were met with the appearance of Snoop Dogg, who performed hits like “Drop It Like It’s Hot” and “Beautiful,” dedicating the latter to his wife, who was singing and dancing to the beat beside the stage.

After Snoop Dogg’s performance, guests were encouraged to grab a pair of roller skates and join a group of professional rollerskaters who whirled around the rink hand in hand, some adorning their hair with fluttering Chanel bows. Partygoers of all levels soon joined in, with a few novices occasionally taking a fall but still enjoying themselves.
