Yashica Olden is the first Global Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer at Conde Nast. She joined in October 2020 and is responsible for setting the strategic D&I priorities, embedding D&I into all HR processes and enabling the development of inclusive content across all brands and platforms globally. 
For more than twenty years, Yashica has been known for her work as a D&I leader and an agent for change. She has partnered with CEOs and executive leaders to build award-winning D&I practices by aligning it to the business strategy and integrating it into people and talent processes.
Yashica has spent much of her career working in large, global organizations in a number of sectors including financial services, pharmaceutical, technology to humanitarian. Prior to Conde Nast, she was Executive Director on WPP’s Global Culture team from 2019 to 2020.  In this role, she partnered with CEOs across the WPP brands to strengthen their inclusion strategies and support client teams. 
Yashica served as the first head of diversity and inclusion for the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) in Rome, Italy. At WFP, she was responsible for creating and implementing initiatives to address the UN Sustainable Development Goals for zero hunger, gender equality and reduced inequalities. 
Prior to WFP, Yashica was the first global head of D&I at Sandoz, the generic and biopharmaceutical division of Novartis based in Munich. At Sandoz, she focused on developing inclusive leaders, expanding the pipeline for diverse and women leaders and creating D&I marketing plans. Yashica has also worked on I&D teams for Barclays Capital and Credit Suisse.
Yashica served as a Trustee for The Photographers’ Gallery in London for seven years. During her tenure at Barclays, she served as its representative on the UK Government’s Department for Work & Pensions Ethnic Minority Advisory Group and the Business in the Community Race Advisory Board. 
Yashica is a change agent and believes passionately in the importance of building people-focused workplaces that value the contributions of everyone. She works to leverage differences to enrich culture and drive business growth. 
Whilst Yashica has had a truly global career having worked outside of the US for more than 20 years in London, Munich, Rome and briefly in Khartoum, she proudly hails from Nashville, Tennessee.
