Zoom: Zoom brings this AI feature of Microsoft Teams to its online meetings – Times of India

Zoom is bringing a new feature, meeting summary, to Zoom IQ – its AI-powered smart companion. The video conferencing platform is also getting the Team Chat compose feature. Both these features will enable users to quickly summarise Zoom Meetings without recording and draft content in Zoom Team Chat.
The features, aimed at improving team collaboration and speed up productivity, are now available through free trials for customers in select plans.
“With the introduction of these new capabilities in Zoom IQ, an incredible generative AI assistant, teams can further enhance their productivity for everyday tasks, freeing up more time for creative work and expanding collaboration,” said Smita Hashim, chief product officer at Zoom.

Zoom IQ meeting summary
Zoom Meeting hosts will now be able to create a summary with the help of the company’s large language models (LLMs). Users can also share it via Zoom Team Chat and email without recording the conversation. Hosts can receive automated summaries and share them with attendees and those who didn’t attend the meeting.
Zoom IQ Team Chat compose
Zoom Team Chat users can now use the generative AI-powered compose feature to draft messages based on the context of a Team Chat thread.
The feature, which leverages ChatGPT-maker OpenAI’s technology, will also bring the ability to change message tone and length as well as rephrasing responses to customise text recommendations.
“There is no one-size-fits-all approach to large language models, and with Zoom’s federated approach to AI, we are able to bring powerful capabilities to our customers and users through Zoom’s own models as well as our partners’ models,” Hashim added.

Upcoming features
Zoom also announced that the next set of generative AI-powered features are scheduled to be released soon. They will enable users to draft email content, summarise Team Chat threads, organise ideas, and draft whiteboard content.
“To further help its customers and users, Zoom will continue to enhance its products with Zoom IQ capabilities,” it said.
