Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’s box office performance has surprised all quarters, trade and exhibitors react | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan’s ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke‘ has been one of the year’s surprise performers thus far. After the release of the trailer, there were very muted expectations from the film, but the moment the music started coming out, people really began looking forward to the film. The opening weekend saw a net box office collection totalling up to Rs 22.59 crire with a 31.15% jump on the first day, followed by 37.50% jump on the next. Monday also witnessed an excellent hold with the day’s collections adding up to Rs 4.14 crore pushing the overall collections to Rs 26.73 cr. Tuesday morning is also seeing a good trend in bookings.
Commenting on this excellent response, trade expert Taran Adarsh says, “Zara Hatke Zara Bachke brings in much needed respite to exhibitors with its weekend collections totalling up to 22.59 crores. While the movie didn’t have many expectations, the collections definitely silenced everyone. Marketing tactics only work when the film really has substance and therefore the ‘buy one get one’ tactic worked like a charm for this family entertainer.”
Talking about the high foot-falls that the movie has been witnessing, Kamal Gianchandani, Chief Business Planning & Strategy, PVR INOX Ltd says, “We are absolutely delighted with the overwhelming response received for ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’. The movie is striking a chord with the family audiences, which is getting reflected in the collections. It is keeping the viewers engaged with its delightful blend of laughter, romance, and unexpected surprises, and we are confident that the movie will continue its good run and will be in cinemas for a long time.”
Devang Sampat, CEO of Cinepolis comments, “Zara Hatke Zara Bachke has proven to be a classic example of content consumption of the Indian audience who has made this refreshing film a big hit. This is one more feather in the hat for Bollywood’s blockbuster year of 2023!”
