Your One-Stop Guide to the Milan Fall 2023 Fashion Week Calendar
Milan Fashion Week has arrived at last. We’re halfway through our fashion month tour, and we’re just getting revved up.
Although we’re not yet seeing Gucci’s new vision under recently-named creative director Sabato de Sarno (that will happen in September), it will be impossible to not look at the upcoming show as a hint for what’s to come. (The menswear collection took a step into Y2K territory, can we expect to see the same for women’s?)
Other questions running through our mind: After Dolce & Gabbana’s much talked-about Kim Kardashian collaboration last season, what will they do next? What will Matthieu Blazy leather-fy at Bottega Veneta this time? And how will Raf Simons new freedom manifest in his fall 2023 Prada collection with Mrs. Prada?
This week, we’ll also see sophomore efforts by the newly installed creative directors at Etro (Marco de Vincenzo), Ferragamo (Maximilian Davis), Bally (Rhuigi Villaseñor), and Missoni (Filippo Grazioli). A first impression is always hard to make, but making a lasting one? We’ll have to stay tuned to find out.
