xiaomi: Xiaomi has ‘bad news’ for owners of these devices – Times of India
Usually, Xiaomi offers up to two years of software updates and up to three years of security updates for its devices both in its local market and other regions worldwide. Considering the number of devices Xiaomi launches every year, this number seems quite fair, however, it is not at all the best in the industry. Recently, the company has promised to deliver longer support for some of its flagship devices.
Earlier, reports suggested that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 series will not be receiving MIUI 13 updates. Now, the company has confirmed that the lineup will also be added to the EOS list. Here we have mentioned all the latest additions to the company’s EOS list.
- Redmi K20
- Redmi Note 7 Pro
- Redmi Note 7S
- Redmi Note 7
- Redmi 7
- Redmi Y3
- Mi Pad 4 Plus
- Mi Pad 4
- Mi Play
- Mi 9 SE
Xiaomi EOS smartphones available in India
Among the above-mentioned devices, the Redmi K20 and the Redmi Note 7 series smartphones are the only ones that are available in India. These devices are still available in the country and have completed more than two years since their launch. These devices will no longer receive any further MIUI updates and the company has even claimed to stop the beta development around these phones. However, it is important to note that in case a serious security vulnerability has been discovered, Xioami will push an update to the device to fix the issue, even if the device is added to the EOS list
