Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 with an under-display front camera, Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC launched in China – Times of India

Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 is now official. Xiaomi has expanded its Mi Mix series handset lineup in its home country China and is touting it to be a “boundary-defying Mix series” smartphone. The key highlights of the Mi Mix 4 include an under-display front camera, “Point to Connect” Ultra Wide Band, Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ 5G Mobile Platform, 120W wired fast charging, 50W wireless fast charging, and more.

Running on MIUI 12.5-based Android operating system, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 smartphone offers a display of 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED 3D curved display of 2400xx1080p resolution with 120Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 smartphone comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC. On the storage front, the device offers 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage.
For imaging duties, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 has a triple-camera setup on the back. The primary camera is a 108MP sensor (f/1.95 aperture) along with a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera and an 8MP periscope camera. The 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera is equipped with an optical free-form lens that is claimed to lower wide-angle distortion. The 8MP periscope sensor supports 5x optical zoom and 50x digital zoom.
On the front, users get a 20MP camera. Xiaomi claims that the front camera is virtually invisible to the eye.
Backed by a 4500mAh battery, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 comes with 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Xiaomi claims that the smartphone has a Boost Mode that would allow the battery to charge up to 100% in under 15 minutes and 28 minutes with wired charging and wireless charging respectively.
It has been launched in Ceramic Gray, Ceramic White, Ceramic Black colour options.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 price and availability
Xiaomi MIX 4 comes in four storage variants: 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB, and retails at RMB 4,999 (approximately Rs 57,400), RMB 5,299 (approximately Rs 60,800), RMB 5,799 (approximately Rs 66,500) and RMB 6,299 (approximately Rs 72,300) respectively. It will go on sale starting August 16 in Mainland China via official Xiaomi channels.
