Writer Jeetendra Gianchandani files police complaint alleging ‘Janhit Mein Jaari’ is copied, Raaj Shaandilyaa shoots down claim -Exclusive – Times of India
Jeetendra Gianchandani has claimed that he has co-written the story titled ‘Condom Pyaar Ki Pehli Shart’ with Gautam Prasad Shaw and it was registered with the Screen Writers Association in 2019.
Jeetendra revealed, “Gautam had registered the script in his name in 2017. I had received the story from a director to improvise is further. In 2019, the said director liked my story and called Gautam and I to work together. We registered the story jointly in October 2019. Gautam pitched the story to Raaj in June 2020 and then Shaandilyaa announced the movie ‘Janhit Mein Jaari’ in November 2020.”
Jeetendra claimed that he has filed a case with the Versova police and another compliant with SWA, which is pending a hearing. He has also informed that his co-writer is not with him in his fight on a copy infringement case Shaandilyaa. He said, “There are many aspiring writers who don’t have resources to fight unethical practices in the Bollywood fraternity by established production houses.”
When ETimes contacted Shaandilyaa, he shot the allegations down and said, “We have already replied to them with a legal notice and for your kind information our story was registered in 2017. Anyone can come and claim anything today.”
