Worst baby names ever heard revealed
When it comes to baby names, there’s definitely some unusual one’s out there – but could these possibly be the worst names you’ve ever heard?
Game of Thrones characters, a hot tub and taco shop – people are sharing the most surprising baby names they’ve heard.
People have flocked to Twitter to share hilarious and shocking baby names, The Sun reports.
Among the “unusual” monikers posted on the site were Kingslayer, Khaleesi, Diesel Duramax, Psamantha and Crystal Shining Waters.
The social media users also slammed a couple who named their child Anakin when all their other children had more mainstream names.
One said: “My co-worker named her baby ‘Strawberry Rain’. Which would be a great baby name, if she had given birth to a bottle of shampoo.”
Another said: “Met a girl named Jennifert in college … Jennifer with a T. Why? Because her parents wanted her to be different.”
A third said: “My kids used to have friends in school whose names were Neptune, Galaxy, and Uranus. All girls. And no, this is NOT a legend or a myth. Their parents were astronomers. Poor Uranus got it the worst.”
Also in the mix was the name Cocaine, Phelany (pronounced the same as Felony), Paige Turner and Kviiilyn (pronounced Kaitlyn as in K-8-lyn).
One person said: “I’m teaching in an elementary classroom and had a boy named Jacuzzi. That was a fun one.”
While another chipped in: “Reinbeaux (pronounced rainbow).”
Also, let’s not forget the name Elon Musk and his partner Grimes gave his their son in June last year.
The power couple had originally planned to name the newborn “X Æ A-12 Musk,” but were forced to change it to “X AE A-XII” after being notified that special characters and numbers were prohibited.
California law dictates that names on birth certificates must employ “the 26 alphabetical letters of the English language,” although apostrophes and dashes are permitted.
Grimes, 32, whose real name is Claire Boucher, explained in a tweet that the X is the “unknown variable” in algebra while the Æ refers to the “elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artificial intelligence).”
The A-12 at the end was inspired by the Lockheed A-12 reconnaissance aircraft – the couple’s “favourite aircraft” – and Musk’s sole contribution to the name, according to his latest appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience.
