World’s most luxurious first class ‘Airbus A380’ is being withdrawn from US

In May next year, Singapore Airlines will switch out its iconic double-decker, Airbus A380, for a Boeing 777-300 ER with its older suites and business class offerings. North American airlines have primarily given up first class as corporate travel policies changed to emphasize business class, which is now considered sufficient for most leisure travellers. The trend of moving from first to business class has yet to catch on in other regions where there is a need for genuine first class.

Singapore Airlines has decided to increase Airbus A380 service to Australia during the Northern Summer operating season in response to the anticipated high demand for these destinations. Tragically, this means that some of the most plentiful First and Business class products won’t be available to travellers flying between the US and Europe. Starting in the middle of May, only North America will experience the best first class in the world.
