World MSME Day 2022: Digital transformation can help MSMEs ride growth in digital era, says Dell’s Manish Gupta

Every year on June 27 World MSME Day is observed globally to highlight the importance of the Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSME) in the economic development of any country. On the occasion of the World MSME Day 2022, Manish Gupta, Vice President and GM, Infrastructure Solutions Group, Dell Technologies, India, highlighted how digital transformation can help MSMEs ride the growth in the digital era with investments towards critical infrastructure.

“MSMEs contribute significantly to India’s growth which makes it imperative for them to be cognizant of their digital transformation journey. While the Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdowns affected the MSMEs in a major way, they are getting back to normal levels. This was revealed in a survey by digital lender NeoGrowth Credit. It stated, “Loan demand from MSMEs is back to 99% of pre-pandemic levels in non-metro cities by March 2022, but just 81% in metros”.
