Woman Claims Sushi Restaurant Shamed Her For Ordering Too Much Food, Restaurant Responds
Going out for a meal to your favourite restaurant can be quite a fun experience. The moment we enter, the soothing ambience takes over our senses and we feel instantly relaxed. We take a look at the menu and decide what we want to eat for appetisers, main course and desserts. Sometimes, the quantity of food is fine keeping in mind the company but there are many times when we end up ordering more food than required. A woman was faced with this very situation at a Sushi restaurant in Canada. As per the influencer, she was shamed for ordering too much food by the waitress at the restaurant.

Cassandra Mauro uploaded a video on TikTok where she revealed all about her experience at the Sushi restaurant named ‘Paper Crane Sushi Bar and Bistro’ in Ontario, Canada. She visited the restaurant with a friend and they placed an order for chicken fried rice, shrimp tempura, noodles, and two sushi rolls. The waitress, however, felt they had ordered too much food and said, “No, no, no, too much food.” The manager too walked over to their table and said, “Hungry?” They then asked them to move their table to accommodate all the food they ordered.
“The whole time we were eating, we could see the kitchen from where we were sitting. The chef was like making the food looking at us and laughing. At a restaurant where you come to order food, you get mocked for ordering food,” said Mauro in the video widely shared on social media.

We sincerely apologize for any comments that may have caused a negative experience … Many of our staff speak English as a second language, but we hope you know it was never the intention of the staff to make you (or anyone) feel judged at our restaurant,” Paper Crane Sushi wrote in a post on Instagram. They also said they discussed the incident with their staff and also looked closely at all their interactions. “We’re also taking time to address language barriers and make sure our words have the appropriate meaning,” they added.
