Wisconsin football lineman Logan Brown ‘is kicked OFF the team for hitting a teammate in Wednesday’s practice’: ‘It was not a choice, he was dismissed’
Wisconsin offensive lineman Logan Brown may be entering the transfer portal, but reports say it may not have been his choice – rather, it was it only option.
Brown reportedly struck a teammate during a practice on Wednesday, leading to interim head coach Jim Leonhard removing him from the team, according the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
‘The reality of what happened is that there was an internal incident here within the program and Logan Brown was dismissed from the program,’ Leonhard told reporters on Thursday. ‘It was not a choice. He was dismissed from the program.’

Brown was allowed to enter the portal because of new rules to the system allowing players to declare entry to the transfer portal within 30-days of a major coaching change. Wisconsin fired Paul Chryst as head coach back in early October.
Were it not for the new rules – or if Chryst wasn’t fired – Brown would have needed to wait until December 5 to enter the portal.
Chryst compiled a 67-26 record overall and a 43-18 record in the Big Ten across eight seasons, but had a rough start to the 2022 season with a 2-3 record overall and an 0-2 start in conference play.
Wisconsin got its first Big Ten win of the season under Leonhard – beating Northwestern 42-7.
The Badgers play the struggling Michigan State Spartans this Saturday.
Brown was able to transfer because Wisconsin fired head coach Paul Chryst a few weeks ago
