White Sox pitcher Mike Clevinger ‘is threatening legal action against a Chicago radio station’
Lawyers of Chicago White Sox pitcher Mike Clevinger are reportedly threatening legal action and a potential ‘cease-and-desist for defamation’ after a Chicago radio station conducted an interview with his ex-partner, who has repeatedly accused him of domestic violence.
Olivia Finestead, who purportedly has a 10-month-old daughter with Clevinger, went on Perkins & Spiegel on 670TheScore in Chicago to accuse the new White Sox right-hander of abuse.
Major League Baseball is currently conducting an ongoing investigation into Clevinger regarding allegations of domestic violence.
In the explosive interview, Finestead accused Clevinger of mistreating her child, saying ‘he physically harmed our kid.’ She also accused the former Padres pitcher of being ‘on drugs frequently.’
‘For him to sit there and be like, “Oh, poor me on my first day [in camp].” Like, your poor baby. Your poor other kids,’ she said. ‘He’s just so full of himself and such a narcissist that he will deny, lie and project every day. That’s just who he is.’

Olivia Finestead has alleged Clevinger strangled & beat her while pregnant with their baby
Clevinger criticized the radio station following the interview and suggested there may be an imminent lawsuit.
‘It’s the world we’re living in,’ told reporters. ‘Everyone wants the clicks. It doesn’t matter what the real truth is.
‘Everyone will stop and look at the car crash, but no one’s going to stop and smell the flowers. That’s how the world is. But that was really trashy of them. That was some lowlife material right there.’
‘My lawyers are paying attention,’ he said, via Chicago Sun-TImes. ‘My lawyers are getting in contact with them, and they probably already sent a cease-and-desist for defamation. So [The Score] just got themselves involved in this, too, so good for them.’
The 32-year-old Clevinger finalized a $12million, one-year contract with Chicago in December. MLB’s probe predates his agreement with the White Sox.
Chicago general manager Rick Hahn told reporters the team’s ‘only option’ was to allow the right-hander to come to camp while awaiting results of MLB’s investigation. He said the team ‘can get better’ in how it vets potential additions.
‘The longer answer is, without anyone having violated the confidentiality of the policy, we weren’t going to find this information out,’ Hahn said, ‘and the fact of the matter is is that the confidentiality element of the policy is essential for it to function properly.’
Finestead has also alleged Clevinger has repeatedly been unfaithful & is ‘on drugs frequently’
After his acquisition, White Sox executives made it clear that they were unaware of the allegations that Clevinger is currently facing and weren’t informed by the MLB, the team claimed in a statement.
‘Major League Baseball and the Chicago White Sox take any and all allegations very seriously, and the White Sox are completely supportive of the Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse policy shared by MLB and the MLBPA,’ read the statement provided to DailyMail.com.
‘MLB opened an investigation after learning of these allegations. The White Sox were not aware of the allegations or the investigation at the time of his signing. The White Sox will refrain from comment until MLB’s investigative process has reached its conclusion.’
In an Instagram post on January 24, Olivia Finestead said she is the mother of Clevinger’s child and alleged he fathered two other children who were not hers.
Since the interview, the new Sox recruit has hit back saying there is little concern for the truth
She posted a photo of marks on her body with accompanying words that alleged the injuries were ‘from when he threw an iPad at me pregnant’ and ‘finally left when he strangled me.’
‘Mike Clevinger,’ she added, ‘you really deserve hell I’ve kept quiet now for almost a year and you continue to covertly abuse your infant, withhold ALL of her belongings, we have none of our stuff, still not even her birth certificate or her car seat attachment
‘He’s made sure to do everything he can to keep control. I’m not kidding either when I say his other kids (sic) mother has been chetaed (sic) on thousands of times even with them under the same roof,’ she wrote, adding: ‘pregnant & not pregnant.’
Finestead then called Clevinger: ‘Truly an evil person.’
