When Saif Ali Khan revealed he was bored of playing the commitment-phobic manchild in his older movies: I’ve been married twice! – Times of India

Saif has played these characters in films like, ‘Kya Kehna’, ‘Hum Tum’, Love Aaj Kal’, and ‘Cocktail’. Talking about the same, Saif told a news portal that he had sensed that he needs to do something new which is when he was trying to put ‘Agent Vinod’ together. According to him, it was a good attempt for a guy who does romantic comedies to do something a little more age-appropriate.

Elaborating further, Saif added that he got a little bored of that vibe. The soul of the romantic hero is a guy who is confused about his future and is commitment-phobic. According to him, that’s really irritating to the audience after a while as he has been married twice and he cannot be still confused.

Saif was first married to Amrita Singh from whom he has two children, Sara and Ibrahim Ali Khan. He is currently married to Kareena Kapoor Khan from whom he again has two kids – Taimur and Jehangir Ali Khan.

The actor is celebrating his 51st birthday today and is currently having the time of his life with wife Kareena and kids, Taimur and Jehangir on his vacation.

Meanwhile, on the work front, he will next be seen in ‘Bhoot Police’ which also stars Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Yami Gautam. Apart from this, he also has Om Raut’s ‘Aadipurush’ co-starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon in lead roles.
