When Ranbir Kapoor was caught smoking by his mother Neetu Kapoor, admits he lied to her a lot while growing up – Times of India

Actor Ranbir Kapoor, currently basking in the glory of his rom-com Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, opposite Shraddha Kapoor has been on a promotional spree for the same and has given many media interactions. In one of of those, the 40-year-old opened up on how he used to lie to his mother a lot while growing up and was once even caught smoking.

Ranbir said that he wasn’t the most easiest of children growing up and would often disobey his parents, especially his mother Neetu Kapoor. Ranbir further went on to add that he was even smacked by her on multiple occasions, but no avail.

Recalling one particular incident, Ranbir said that once his mother caught him smoking and to her horror, she actually thought that he was doing drugs. However, Ranbir admitted that instead of getting defensive, he simply begged her to forgive him. The actor also added that now that he is a husband and father, he is a changed man.
Recently, in an interaction with News18 Showsha, the Brahmāstra actor opened up on the #BoycottBollywood trend and said that this has only started recently and not everyone is part of the baseless trolling and negativity. He said, “I don’t think everybody does it. But I have been seeing this since a couple of years that suddenly there’s an anti-Bollywood narrative has started post the Covid-19 pandemic.”
