The first look of Ranbir Kapoor’s next, ‘Animal’ was unveiled at 12 am just as we welcomed 2023. One sees Ranbir in quiet a deadly avatar, with a blood-filled shirt, cigarette, and an axe under his arm. Fans were left surprised because the first look poster was far from anything that they expected. Alia Bhatt also shared the posted with fire emojis on Instagram.

While for the audience, this first look was quite shocking, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Ranbir had also expressed that ‘Animal was way too shocking for him. He also added that the film was way out of his comfort zone so he is scared and at the same time excited for it. The actor had further expressed the desire to do more grey shades and revealed that his character in ‘Animal’ has grey shades to it. Ranbir expressed that he is looking forward to doing many negative roles but is just waiting for the right opportunities.

The film is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga of ‘Kabir Singh’ and ‘Arjun Reddy’ fame. ‘Animal’ is produced by Murad Khetani along with Bhushan Kumar. In an interview with PTI, Murad had revealed that ‘Animal’ is visually stunning and has lots of heroism. He revealed that when Sandeep narrated the story to Ranbir Kapoor and Anil Kapoor, they loved it and came on board.

‘Animal’ has Rashmika Mandanna opposite Ranbir. The producer had also revealed that since the director and the actress of ‘Animal’ is from the south, they would also have a large release there.
