When Priyanka Chopra talked about reports of Shahid Kapoor opening the door of her home dressed in a towel during 2011 IT raids – Times of India
When asked about the same during an interview, the actress admitted that Shahid had indeed come to her house because he stayed three minutes from her house and he was the closest friend available to her during that time.
The actress, however, took a dig at the media reporters, asking them if they had accompanied the IT people for the raid to write that Shahid opened the door in a towel. The actress added that people might be laughing about it but it is really cheap to write something like this about a lady. The actress clarified that she lived with her parents, and something like this can be highly damaging for someone.
As soon as the old video of the interview went viral on social media, likes and comments poured in from all sides. A user commented, ‘I love her the way she handled this, shut his mouth and taught how to respect a lady. She might be saying the truth, must be lying…but one shouldn’t ask such personal stuff (sic).’
