Shah Rukh Khanhad a cameo in the film and Kamal Haasan had one revealed Shah Rukh’s condition to do the film. In an interview, Haasan had shared that SRK didn’t charge a penny for doing the film, despite being at the peak of his career. Haasan had revealed that while everyone says big things like ‘I just want to be a part of a Kamal Haasan film or be in the same frame with him’, SRK actually did it for real. As he didn’t charge a single penny for his role in ‘Hey Ram’.
SRK had played the role of Amjad Ali Khan in the film and he did it without any money because he knew that the film’s budget wasn’t that much. Kamal broke the myth around SRK and said that while people consider him as a commercial-minded person and a businessman, he actually did it for free. Moreover, SRK’s production house also took the Hindi distribution rights of the film and Haasan said he rightly deserved so.
Haasan said that he just did the film for a wrist watch. That’s just what he took for the film. ‘Hey Ram’ also starred Rani Mukerji.
