When Aamir Khan appreciated Cristopher Nolan’s ‘Inception’ and said Bollywood has a long way to go to match up to Hollywood | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Aamir Khan is often termed as the ‘perfectionist’ and known for the amount of time he gives to a project and to get into the skin of his characters. He also has a deep know-how about cinema and an old interview clip of the actor has now resurfaced on the internet. This clip has gone viral now, amidst the buzz around Christopher Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer‘. The film is doing quite well even at the Indian box office, despite its Bhagwad Gita controversy.

Now in this old clip, Aamir can be seen appreciating Nolan’s ‘Inception‘. The actor had said in this interview with Rajeev Masand that Hollywood is far ahead of the rest of the world, and India in its ability to tell stories well. Hollywood picks bizarre, unimaginable topics sometimes and to make people believe that and connect with them is quite commendable, said Aamir. Technically, even in their headspace, Aamir said that Hollywood is quite ahead of Bollywood, because we are not able to imagine only, while they can!
The actor further said that when he watch ‘Inception’, he thought that we have a long way to catch up with Hollywood. That’s the truth and that’s what he believes. However, he added that we’re making movies for our audiences – that’s our primary responsibility, emotionally, to reach our audience. Hence, that’s what Aamir enjoys doing.

On work front, the actor was last seen in ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. Post that, he decided to take a break from movies for a year atleast.
