Wheeler missed nine games due to a groin injury. The 36-year-old had nine goals and 26 points in 29 contests prior to landing on the IR.
Ehlers only played two games to start the season, registering three assists, before he underwent sports hernia surgery in mid-November.
Perfetti was day-to-day with an upper-body injury and missed five games. The 21-year-old left-winger has six goals and 20 points in 33 games this season.
Schmidt was out for nine games due to an upper-body injury. The 31-year-old has six points in 29 games while averaging 19:54 minutes per game.
The Jets (24-13-1) enter Friday’s contest riding a three-game win streak and are second in the Central Division.
Meanwhile, the Lightning will be without top defenceman Victor Hedman who has returned to Tampa for the birth of his second child. Goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy is also a game-time decision.
