WhatsApp search messages shortcut coming soon

WhatsApp search messages shortcut is being enabled for beta testers and is likely to be rolled out to wider audience soon. Also in the works is the WhatsApp viewing message reaction info for a future update, according to WABetaInfo.

WhatsApp has been rolling out updates in order to add new features and thereby increase the benefits available to users. And as per the latest information, the messaging app is rolling out a new update through the Beta Program- WhatsApp search messages shortcut. This is for beta testers for now and is likely to be rolled out to wider audience soon. The information was provided by WABetaInfo over its Twitter handle on Thursday where it said, “WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.6.3: what’s new? WhatsApp is enabling a new search message shortcut today!”

WABetaInfo further informed via a report that the search shortcut is being added by WhatsApp to the redesigned contact info page. The same shortcut was also visible to some users in group info as well. However, there are instances where the shortcut is not appearing in certain situations. “Unfortunately, the search shortcut doesn’t seem working so well: it happens that, even if the feature has been correctly rolled out to your WhatsApp account, it may not appear in certain situations. Since this is a beta version, things like that may happen, but the next beta updates will surely fix the issue,” the report said.

WhatsApp is also working on viewing message reaction info for a future update, WABetaInfo informed in another tweet. It was earlier informed that the messaging application is working on message reactions for future update and now there are few details regarding the development. Now it will be possible to see who reacted to your messages.

According to the report, “it will be possible to view who reacted to incoming and outgoing messages. WhatsApp has developed an interface that groups reactions, so you can see the list of all people who have reacted to a message by using the same reaction.” The feature is under development on WhatsApp beta for iOS and Android.

Meanwhile it can be known that WhatsApp is one of the most commonly used messaging applications which can be found on almost everyone’s smartphone, may it be an iPhone user or Android. The application is used to send messages, share pictures, videos, voice notes, emojis, stickers and much more.
