WhatsApp is releasing a screen-sharing feature for iPhone users – Times of India

Earlier this week, WhatsApp rolled out the screen-sharing feature for Windows users. Now, the Meta-owned platform has started rolling out the same feature for iPhone users.
According to a report by WABteaInfo, WhatsApp has started rolling out the functionality to share screens during ongoing video calls. After installing the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.12.0.74 the iOS beta testers can access the new screen-sharing feature.
How screen sharing feature works
If the feature is enabled for your WhatsApp account, you will see a new icon at the bottom during a video call: this option allows you to share the content of your screen with everyone on the call. When using this feature, everything on your screen, including notifications, will be recorded and shared remotely with the people currently connected to the video call.
According to the report, users will have complete control over this functionality. Even though the screen content is continuously transmitted during the video call, individuals have the ability to halt the process whenever they wish. Additionally, this feature is only activated when consent is given to share the content of the screen.
WhatsApp call-back feature
Recently, an online report revealed that WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that aims to make missed calls more noticeable. This new addition is a “Call back” button that appears within an event message when a call goes unanswered, and it is available after installing one of the latest versions of WhatsApp beta for Windows from the Microsoft Store.
As per WABteaInfo, the ‘Call back’ button will appear next to the event message generated when a call is missed on WhatsApp. This button provides users with a quick way to return a missed call with just a single tap.
