Facebook-owned WhatsApp has introduced a new ability to forward stickers to contacts and groups. WaBetaInfo has spotted a new shortcut in WhatsApp beta for Android 2.21.13.15 update, that allows users to forward stickers without saving them first.
At present, if a user wants to forward a sticker to a WhatsApp contact or group chat, they have to save it first in the Stickers list on the app. This seems like an extra step and consumes time. With the new ability, users will be able to forward WhatsApp stickers without first saving it or viewing the message option to forward the sticker.
As per the report, the feature is currently available for beta testers and for people that install the latest WhatsApp for Android – Web release. It is likely that the feature may be added for beta testers on iOS as well.
In related news, WaBetaInfo has spotted a new reaction info tab which gives more insights about the upcoming message reaction feature. As per the report, WhatsApp users in future will not only be able to react to a chat message using an emoji, they will also be able to see who reacted to the message.
The feature is currently under development. Once available, it will function similarly to the message reaction feature on Facebook and Instagram. Users on these platforms can react to a message with emojis like heart and others. WhatsApp groups who reacted to a message using a specific emoji will be listed in a separate tab. Users will be able to react to a specific message only once. Also, the reactions are limited to 6 emojis right now.
