Sri Lanka beat West Indies by 20 runs in their last match of the ongoing T20 World Cup on Thursday in Abu Dhabi. Defending the target of 190, Sri Lanka restricted West Indies to 169/8 with a superb bowling show by Wanindu Hasaranga (2/19) and Binura Fernando (2/24). Shimron Hetmyer top-scored for West Indies with his unbeaten 81-run knock, followed by Nicholas Pooran (46). Earlier Sri Lanka scored 189 runs in 20 overs, where Charith Asalanka top-scored with his 68 runs. Asalanka added 91 runs for the second wicket with opener Pathum Nissanka (51) who smashed his second fifty of the ongoing T20 World Cup.
