Noodles are one of the most loved foods across the globe. They are easy to make and can be prepared in various combinations; with sauces, veggies, meat or in soup. Whether you’re running short of time or simply craving something delicious in the middle of the night – a hot bowl of noodles always comes to our rescue! And every country has its own variation of noodles. Be it ramen, udon, soba, vermicelli or glass – all of them define comfort in the true sense. However, have you ever wondered how noodles are actually made? Recently, in a video shared by former Norwegian diplomat Erik Solheim, one can see how noodles are traditionally prepared in Shaanxi, China.

In the clip posted on Twitter, we can see a chef carefully stretching noodles while swinging it. The video progresses to show various people stretching metre-long noodles before being vertically hung to dry from the roof.
