A glimpse of Zoya Akhtar’s movie based on the classic masterpiece ‘Archies’ was shown at Netflix’s global event in Brazil on Saturday. The film teaser was launched at the event after the dance performance of the movie’s star cast which included actors like Agastya Nanda, Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, etc.
The video of the stage performance was shared by Netflix on Instagram. The video shows the star cast performing on stage with a 60s look which is the central theme of the movie.
‘The Archies’ actors shook their legs and grove on the tune of their movie’s song ‘Sunoh’ at the Netflix stage in Brazil. The gang of seven includes Agastya Nanda as Archie Andrews, Suhana Khan as Veronica Lodge, Khushi Kapoor as Betty Cooper, Dot as Ethel Muggs, Mihir Ahuja as Jughead Jones, Vedang Raina as Reggie Mantle and Yuvraj Menda as Dilton Doiley.
At the function, Khushi Kapoor was seen wearing an orange and white knee-length dress, whereas Suhana Khan was seen wearing a short brown dress complemented with black tights. Agastya Nanda was wearing a striped white T-shirt, grey pants, and a dark grey jacket.
The dance video was shared by Netflix with the caption, ‘The Archies ka pehla performance!!” The dance video received a mixed reaction from the fans, with some people pinning high hopes on the teenage gang, whereas some called out the star cast for nepotism.

The video was shared by Shweta Bachchan on her Instagram stories. She captioned the video with ‘The cutest gang’. Her daughter Navya Nanda also shared the video of Agastya Nanda thanking the audience after the performance. She captioned the video as ‘Junior’.
Elder sister Janhvi Kapoor took to Instagram to react to the movie teaser which also showed Khushi Kapoor. She wrote, “This looks so exciting! I can’t wait. What a fun world you guys have created, it’s going to be magic. And my baby Khushi Kapoor I love you can I bite your cheeks I miss you.”
The Archies is the adaptation of the classic comic series ‘Archies’ and is set in the year 1964. The movie is a coming-of-age musical following the lives of Riverdale’s favourite sweet of teenagers. What makes this movie different from the classic comic book is the extra touch of an Anglo-Indian star-cast which will showcase the story through the lens of the community.
