Here’s the step-by-step recipe of homemade peanut chutney: 

Step 1 – First take about half cup of peanuts and dry roast them. Keep aside. 

Step 2 – Now, saute 5-6 whole red chillies, along with 2 tbsp of chana dal and 1 tsp cumin seeds. 

Step 3 – Add half an onion (cubed) and 4-5 cloves of garlic. Saute well. 

Step 4 – Now, transfer the spices to mixie jar, add roasted peanuts, along with salt to taste and about 1 tbsp imly paste. You can also soak whole imly in water and use the imly water. 

Step 5 – Grind everything to form a paste. 

Now you can either use this chutney as it is – or move further to give it a delectable tadka. Follow these steps for it: 

Step 6 – In 1 tbsp oil, fry a pinch of hing, some mustard seeds, urad dal and curry leaves. Pour this tadka over the chutney and serve.
