Watch: German Ambassador tries different varieties of Indian mangoes and says this – Times of India

The Indian summer season is incomplete without a delicious dose of mangoes. With hundreds of varieties in different parts of India, the king of fruits is rich in flavours and nutrients and is enjoyed as dessert, main course, and even snack. But, the best way to enjoy it is to eat it as is, and even the German Ambassador to India and Bhutan, Dr. Philipp Ackermann, recently enjoyed it and shared his experience on social media.
He shared the video on Twitter and wrote, “यह ‘आम’ हैं बहुत ख़ास ????। Mango ???? season is on!”

He mentioned in his tweet that ever since he first arrived in India, he has been fascinated by the varied variety of mangoes and added, “Had a first tasting with my colleagues from the residence, and tried Sindoori, Kesar, and Malgoa mangoes.”
In the 1.33-minute video, he added, “What is very nice about this time of the year is that the mango season is in full bloom now. What I am going to learn about is the enormous variety of this fruit available in India.”
After this, he tasted the Kesar mango from Gujarat and reacted, “Very fresh. It is a little lemony. It is sweet but a little lemony,”
Next, he ate the Malgoa mango from the south and found it “completely different”. He added, “It is much smoother, much softer” than the Kesar variety.
Later, he looked at Sindoori mango, and reacted, “Beautiful and has rosy cheeks”.
He concluded the video, which has garnered 4.7K views, and said, he will now walk through the mango season and see other varieties next time. “A long way to go,” he added.
