JOHANNESBURG – South African television icon Derek Watts will be taking a step back from his work after being diagnosed with skin cancer last year.
Despite cancer spreading to his lungs, he was still able to continue telling stories that have shaped our nation to his cherished viewers.
In a video shared by Carte Blanche, Watts gave an update on his health. Fellow presenters Mac and Claire were praised in the video for their outstanding work.
“Another short hospital stay, but I am fine and will be out of here soon,” said Watts.
